Calvern Care Ltd was established in 2001 and is a privately owned company that aims to provide high standards of personal support to service users living in the community who through illness, frailty or disability are unable to provide this for themselves without assistance.

The Managing Director and Proprietor, Carol Martin, has been working in the caring profession for over 30 years. She gained her qualification as a Social Worker (Diploma in Social Work) in 1994.

Calvern Care LTD providers of high quality services to older people. The services we offer are as follows;

• Re-ablement: helping people to return to independent living.
• Personal care
  • Assistance with dressing/undressing, washing, showering/bathing.
  • Assistance with getting into and out of bed.
• Continence, catheter and stoma management.
• Shopping.
• Collection of pension.
• Laundry and ironing.
• Cleaning and housework.
• Preparation of light meals and hot drinks.
• Sitting service.
• Night care awake / sleeping service.

We can offer this service to:

• Older people.
• People with physical disabilities.
• People with learning disabilities.
• People with sensory impairment.
• People with mental health needs.

Through private funding, Council Direct Payments/ Self Directed Support & Individual Budgets, we also offer the following services for people with Alzheimer’s disease;

• Establishing a routine for people with familiar carers visiting.
• Assisting with reality orientation programmes and reminiscence.
• Helping people to maintain the skills they currently have.

We offer a comprehensive care service that enables us to plan and provide a service tailored to meet each individual service users' needs. We offer our services 365 days per year throughout the day and night.

We strive to ensure that our services are delivered in a flexible way that is attentive to our clients needs and in a non-discriminatory fashion that respects our clients rights to independence, privacy, dignity, fulfilment and the right to make informed choices.

Wherever possible we will assist people to re-able and return to independent living.
