Children and Young People's Service

Caring for children, young people and their families

SPDNS Nurse Care CIC Children and Young People’s Team provides care for children and young people, and support to parents and siblings in the form of respite care and support in times of crisis.

The team also support disabled young people at their place of education so that they can achieve their educational goals.

The team work closely with Little Havens Children’s Hospice, Paediatric Community Nurses and Children’s Social Workers to plan and deliver support and care at the right time and in the right place.

Hospice at Home

SPDNS Nurse Care CIC works in partnership with Fair Havens Hospice (Southend) and St Lukes Hospice (Basildon) to provide a Hospice at Home service for patients with terminal illnesses and their families who choose to be cared for at home.

This service is charitably funded and therefore free at the point of delivery.
