Elmsleigh Reiki has developed from Elmsleigh Natural Therapy. This business was established in 2003 by Linda Cooper.
Linda
had a long career of 27 years, as a professional Occupational Therapist
working in a number of specialist areas of NHS healthcare. Like so many
others in this day and age the immense pressure of travel to work on
busy motorways, working to tight deadlines with too few resources and
managing a team of other therapists, had a significant impact on her
stress and anxiety levels. She resigned from her post as Head
Paediatric Occupational Therapist to find a calmer more balanced way of
life that would sustain good health and a longer life!
However
being a therapist is what defines Linda as the person that she is. So
after a period of rest and recovery from a very frantic life-style it
is no suprise that she came across Holistic Therapy, a solid mix of
therapies, with which she could reach out to treat those around her
with health issues looking for ways to improve their own quality of
life. It was at this time that Linda also by chance came across Usui
Reiki.
Taking her level 1 Usui Reiki in 2003 Linda started on a
profound journey of spiritual and personal development that has greatly
enhanced her own quality of life as it has gained momentum and depth
with each more advanced level of training.
Linda is now an
experienced practioner of the Usui/ Tibetan Reiki healing system and
also qualified to teach Usui/Tibetan Reiki at all levels. With her own
experience as testimony to the benefits of Reiki, Linda invites you to
