My name is Malcolm McGee and I got into Reiki through my spirit guide.
For many years now I have been told that I have a wonderful gift,
healing hands. So I decided to learn Reiki not only for myself, but to
help others. I am Scottish, I have a wife Frances and two children Cara
and Keith, both now grown up. I have completed Reiki Degree 1 and 2 and
now progressing onto Master Degree and to teach Reiki.
What can Reiki do for me?
Anyone can benefit from Reiki, wether you learn it for yourself or
receive a course of Reiki treatments from a practioner. These are some
of the things that are possible through Reiki. Deep relaxation -
reduced stress & anxiety - boosted energy levels - a feeling of
inner calm, contentment and serenity - a speeding up of the natural
healing process.
Reiki can also help you to;-
Feel more positive, confident and better able to cope - deal better
with stressful people and difficult situations - develope a strong
sense of purpose and clear thinking - remove some of the clutter from
your life.
Reiki Treatment
Receiving Reiki from a practitioner is a simple process. The client
lies on a treatment table and the practitioner will gently lay their
hands on the body in a series of hand positions from the head to the
feet. During the treatment, energy (called "chi") is drawn through the
practitioner into the recipient, helping to produce a state of balance.
You might experience deep relaxation, tingling, heat from the
practitioner's hands, or feel like you are floating. You might feel
nothing, everyone is different. Please note that the recipient remains
clothed throughout the session.
Some examples of things that Reiki can do for people
Sports injury - long term back pain - a painful limp - postoperative
pain - scoliosis - low energy levels: ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis) -
mental and emotional problems - anorexia - multiple addictions - a
whole range of problems - treating animals.
Reiki is not a substitute for medical treatment. If you have any
symptons of illness you should see your doctor. Reiki is safe and will
compliment any form of complementary or medical treatment. A Reiki
practioner will not diagnose or recommend any form of treatment.
