Fantasy World is
a family run business that was established back in 1975.
Our "headquarters’ is our York branch originally
a small shop, it has been extended and extended to provide
three floors of over 5000 costumes, a wig and novelties
area, as well as our laundry and offices.
In 2001, we decided to open a second branch in Ossett, Wakefield.
We found a perfect showroom on two floors.
Your party starts when
you visit us. We have a large and varied stock of outfits
and accessories. Our trained staff are friendly and there
to help you enjoy yourself!
We are members of the
British Costume Association and are working hard to transform
the image of fancy dress shops in the UK. We follow the
Associations code of conduct and all our costumes are laundered
after each hire. From a Womble to a serious period outfit,
you will probably find it at Fantasy World.
The proprietor
Justin Heaven (yes that is his true name!!) and his mother
Julie, have travelled into Europe and America to find the
best quality and priced costumes available.
The latest ‘best finds’ are some wonderful Rhinstoned
Elvis suits from L.A. and platform boots with a goldfish
in the heels from California. We have also just brought
in some hand painted eyemasks from Vienna ideal for your
next masquerade ball!
We stock hundreds of styles of wigs and a complete range
of ‘extras’, beards, guns, eyelashes etc. We
are stockists of Grimas and Snazeroo make-up.
