Welcome to Archery at Huncote Mill. We
have to offer Field Archery with full sized hard foam animal targets,
Target Archery with the familiar round paper targets and Novelty Archery with balloons, water bombs and coconut targets.
The
bows and arrows used may be the traditional long bows with wooden
arrows, modern recurve bows with fibreglass arrows or deluxe compound
bows and aluminium arrows; whichever is relevant. Arm guards and finger tabs are provided for your comfort and we cater for both left and right eye dominant shooters.
Training
sessions start with a short safety briefing, we then proceed to the
range where we aim to give you the knowldge and skills to repeatedly
hit a standard target at short range. Refreshment breaks are scheduled
and spectators are welcome. Training sessions last between 2 and 3
hours.
Archery
may be enjoyed as a Single Activity or as part of a Multi-Activity
session. Young people from the age of 6 years old may enjoy this sport
and we can cater for Archery Parties for up to 12 young people with prizes and trophies given for the party games.
