Welcome to Harbour Sports! We have been a
recognised water sports store since 1977! Julian Smith and Frank Sobey
opened the business as a watersports school and shop. They were on the
water all day every day in the summer season teaching windsurfing,
hiring out, running speedboat trips and by the late 80's were running
aquasausage rides!
In 1990 Harbour Sports expanded
into Plymouth and took over the Barbican shop. Harbour Sports was by
now one of the biggest and best known shops of its type in the UK . As
the business continued to grow we also ran a yacht charter section of
the business for about eight years.
Our Exeter shop
opened in 1996 at Fore Street in the city centre. This is still a
Harbour Sports with friendly, expert staff, but it has less hardware
and more fashion than the other shops at the water's edge. Lots of
people are surprised though how much of the hardware we manage to cram
in the shop!
The
windsurfing school isn't around any more, but the rest of us still
surf, skate, ski, or something.Some of us do it all! - Live the life!
