The Firm was established in
1992 to offer specialist tax advice to Practitioners who require
assistance in finding solutions to their clients’ investigation
problems. We offer pro-active advice to the accountancy and legal
profession in two main areas of specialisation :-
- HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) Investigations
- Litigation Support and Forensic Accounting
Each area allows utilisation of our negotiating, investigating and fraud expertise in two niche markets.
Our objectives are to provide specialist support in areas which are often disruptive
and time consuming to general practitioners and relieve the burden on overworked professionals.
The Firm aims to provide a positive contribution to each case and is more than willing to discuss relevant
matters before engagement. The advantage of a small specialised firm is continuity, the personal touch and realistic fees.
Our mission is to provide a value for money service, if we are unable to do so we will tell you. We are Independent and
focused, with reasonable fee rates and no large firm overheads. We can offer excellent added value, please take a look
at some of our work we have carried out.
We do not undertake general practice work and therefore are not in competition with practitioners, we consider ourselves
your partners. We become an integral part of your team for the duration of our assignment.
Tax Investigations
We aim to limit the damage of HMRC Investigations, ensuring the Client has a fair deal and avoids the risk of criminal
prosecution.
We can share problems with general practitioners and :-
- Give a second opinion on an Investigation
- Work alongside practitioners to avoid the pitfalls
- Crystallise the areas of concern and obtain a negotiated settlement
- Relieve the pressure during serious tax investigations, such as the Special Civil Investigations Unit (formerly Special
Compliance Office) or Customs Investigation Units and allow the practitioner to concentrate on their main business
- Limit the dangers of a prosecution - by the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office (RCPO)
- Represent Clients involved in Contentious Appeal Hearings, before the Tax Commissioners or the VAT Tribunal. We advise
early consultation to allow adequate preparation time
- Resolve technical tax issues and provide VAT planning to minimise liabilities
- Undertake Tax Compliance Health Checks and PAYE reviews
- Provide Surgeries or formal lectures to groups with interests in these particular areas
