Construction & Demolition Noise
Major construction projects have the potential to cause annoyance in the community due to both noise and vibration emissions. The Control of Pollution Act provides a framework within which the disruption associated with major schemes can be managed and controlled. Best practise and good community relations are often as important as prior consent and agreed working hours in minimising the impact of inevitably noisy activities.
Industrial Noise Control
We carry out occupational noise at work assessments
in accordance with the requirements of the Noise at Work Regulations
1989, to establish both employees' exposure to potentially damaging
noise sources and employers' responsibilities to protect their
work force. The measurement and control of noise emissions from
industrial sites, both on and off shore, can be vital to their
continued operation in a social and political climate which
is increasingly sensitive to environmental issues.
Noise Mapping
Noise mapping can be an extremely powerful tool in a
number of decision making applications. It enables us to carry out
complex calculations to predict noise exposure of a whole area, rather
than just sample receive positions, and present the results in an
easily digestible format. It also saves valuable consulting time in
assessing scheme alterations, or maximising the efficiency of
mitigation measures (such as roadside barriers).
