First opened in Bristol in 1990 by Stella Weeks, Mainline Employment
has gone from strength to strength. With a second Bristol office
opening in March and a successful Swindon branch the company is
continually looking to expand. After being too successful for her
previous employer, winning all the incentive schemes and competitions,
Stella decided to go it alone and reap the rewards of her personal
success. Her objective was to install her own set of values and beliefs
into the workplace and train and grow a team of sales people to help
her achieve financial and personal satisfaction. These beliefs centre
on a strong conviction that consultants do not have to be target
driven, aggressive sales people. The success of the business is based
upon employing consultants who are not only individuals, but have
previously worked in the industries they support, enabling an immediate
basic understanding of customers recruitment needs.
18 years later, the company has grown to employ 38 staff across the
sales, admin and support departments, and is still growing. With the
average annual turnover set to top £11 million in 2008 and net profit
before tax increasing year on year, Stella’s faith in her team and her
determination to succeed have led to a success story in anyone’s eyes.
Many of the staff have reached and passed the 5 years service
mark and some have reached 10 years which is almost unheard of in the
Recruitment industry. Valerie Wood, Bristol’s Secretary, has been with
the company since Stella started the business so has completed 18 years
service. With all this experience you can be assured that your
recruitment or job seeking requirements will be met with
professionalism and commitment to whomever you speak to.
