Every removal we carry out is tailored to the individual customer, which is why
a qualified removals estimator will come and visit you at your property. This
is a crucial introduction to the removal process, as the estimator will explain
and guide you through a comprehensive breakdown of how your removal will work.

We at Plymouth Removers provide many extra services in addition to the domestic
removal. We can incorporate a full packing service, china packing and export
wrapping your valuable/precious pieces of furniture. With all domestic removals
we will supply in advance, all your packing materials. These will include the
correct sized cartons (from packing books to chandeliers) white packing paper
and adhesive tape. Wardrobe cartons and portable rails for your hanging garments
will be supplied on the day of your removal to keep your clothes clean and
crease free.
We
provide a full dismantling and re-assembling service, which could include beds,
wardrobes and even a concert grand piano! If you are moving from or to a property
with restricted access for one of our large vehicles, we have a fleet of smaller
vehicles to ensure your removal runs smoothly.
On the day of your removal our experienced crew will cater to your every need
as set out on the specification sheet. As your effects are loaded onto the
vehicle the removals crew will use specialised materials to protect your carpets
and household belongings. All furniture is blanket wrapped and secured with
webbing straps to avoid any movement or damage whilst in transit to your new
home.
At your new property, all items will be placed in the correct rooms and in
the position of your choice, completing a happy, successful and stress free
removal.

Storage
Plymouth Removers understands that storage may be a requirement for you, so we
have provided the perfect solution, long or short term. Our warehouse is specially
designed for containerised storage. This system is convenient, safe, affordable
and you will have the secure knowledge your belongings are insured and under
24hr cctv surveillance. The site is also fully alarmed with state of the art
fire detection systems.
Before the removal vehicle departs to your property, the containers will be
loaded at the warehouse. Our forklift carefully places the containers on the
vehicle in a position to enable the custom built side doors to be opened on
arrival. As the crew carefully load your effects into the containers, protective
blankets and reinforced paper blankets are used to protect your furniture and
restrict movement. A full inventory(in triplicate)will be completed during
this process and on completion of the removal, you will be asked to sign and
retain your copy. All the containers will then be sealed and only opened when
delivered to your new property.
International
We
at Plymouth Removers have a thriving international market, moving family’s
all over the world every month of the year. Our busiest destinations are Australia,
New Zealand, Canada, USA and South Africa, but popular new overseas destinations
are increasing all the time. Cyprus, Dubai, Turkey, Bulgaria and Kuwait
to name just a few.
We understand the daunting task of the re-location for you and your family
to a new country, which is why we have a specialist overseas coordinator who
will visit you at your home. During this process the estimator can determine
whether your effects are to be shipped in their own container or as part of
a shared container.
We will help you with a detailed plan, tailor made to your individual requirements.
All of your china, glass, books, fragile or delicate items will be packed for
you. All of your furniture, including your beds, sofas, wardrobes and dining
room furniture, will be specially wrapped in export materials. A full comprehensive
inventory will be written at your UK residence, having total piece of mind
that everything is fully prepared for its journey. Providing access and parking
is good for an articulated vehicle, the shipping container will arrive at your
residence and will be carefully loaded by our trained staff. If access is not
suitable for such a large vehicle, your effects will be taken to our warehouse,
where loading will be safely carried out.
Within a week of the ships departure, a waybill will be emailed straight to
you. This will contain all relevant information on your cargo, with the destination
agents details attached. This enables you to track your effects all the way
to the port of destination. Comprehensive insurance can be arranged, please
just speak to our estimator who will help and advise you in this field. Once
your container has reached the port and cleared customs, the removal will be
organised for you. Included in this service is the disposal of all export wrapping,
again one less job for you to worry about, so you can sit back, relax and settle
into your new life!
Commercial
Over the years we have built up a fantastic and high quality reputation for commercial,
office and factory relocations. We currently have a 3 year contract with Devon & Cornwall
Constabulary, for all of their relocations, as well as moving the NHS and the
Land Registry to name but a couple of our clients. We know too well that time
is money in business, which is why we can cater to all of your needs.
Our estimator will go through a detailed approach to your relocation, including
seeing any plans, parking requirements, scheduled timings, or any individual
needs you may have. A detailed plan will follow the estimators visit, this
will help structure the relocation in accordance to materials required, the
overall layout of the move and any dismantling / re-assembling of furniture
you require.
All the relevant materials you require will be delivered to your place of
work well in advance of the relocation in order to help the process begin as
smoothly as possible. The removal crew allocated to you will be highly trained
and skilled for your particular requirements. Plymouth Removers will only use
its own members of staff on all commercial relocations. The removal team and
estimator will work seven days a week in order to minimise any disturbances
in the day to day running of your business.
