Rainbow
Care was formed in the year 2005 and is dedicated to providing a
service of exceptional quality to the care community
across Worcestershire, Solihull, Birmingham and South Warwickshire
Areas. Rainbow was founded with the knowledge that every client having
care has special requirements, it is with this reason that our staff
are recruited and trained to demonstrate sensitivity to these needs,
focusing on providing quality care. Our services are registered with
the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and our quality rating is 2 stars,
which means people who use our service expereince good quality outcomes. Rainbow Care is ISO 9001:2000 Registered Firm
Live in care
A
live-in carer or companion may be booked for short time; perhaps
following a client's stay in hospital or for respite while their family
is away. Often, live-in carers are requested on a long-term or
indefinite basis to provide security, personal help and assistance
around the home.
Most of our clients use our services on an
indefinite basis, enabling them to continue living happily and safely
at home rather than moving into a residential or nursing home.
Each of our carers works and lives with their client for
two weeks or so before they go home for a break, handing over to a new
carer before they leave. Favourite carers may return again and again to
give valuable continuity of care. In many cases our service has been
provided to individual clients without interruption for years.
As
well as personal care, our carers contribute to the smooth running of
the home and will undertake light housekeeping, laundry, cooking and
baking, driving and shopping duties. It’s all part of the Rainbow service.
Respite Care
If
you are looking after someone who needs constant care or nursing you
will probably understand only too well how tiring and stressful it can
sometimes be. The pressure can make you over-tired, stressed, angry or
tense. To make matters worse, you may feel guilty about these feelings
and worry about how they may affect the care and attention you give
your loved one.
People who
care for someone with dementia, frailty, physical disabilities or a
chronic illness often carry on without realising how exhausted or
depressed they have become. A break or holiday is usually all that's
needed to help unwind and recharge the batteries. Respite care – where
someone else takes over for a few hours, days or weeks – is the answer.
Respite care may also be needed at other times such as when the carer
has to go into hospital.
Learning Disability Care
We are uniquely focused on supporting those who suffer from a range of learning disabilities, with a particular emphasis on Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
One to one
This element of our service crosses both our core disciplines –
Looking
after the frail elderly who would prefer to spend their days in the
comfort of their own home, rather than in a nursing or care home
environment. Helping those with constant high dependency care needs,
Personal Care
We
supply Homecare (Domiciliary) Services to clients who need personal
care and support in their own homes, through either our local Social
Services, with whom we have contractual agreements, or by direct
arrangement with the individuals themselves or their families.
Staff Relief
For
Care Organisations we can help with both short-term staffing cover as
well as the appointment of Permanent staff at all levels. Our
recruitment service is dedicated to matching clients needs 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week.
One-to-one Homecare
including
Learning Disabilities and Mental Health issues. In addition our
services can be tailored to meet the very specific requirements of
those who have suffered from traumatic brain &/or spinal injuries.
Domestic
We give help with light household duties.
Specialist Care
There are times when the care and support needed becomes more
complex and challenging, or multiple types of care are required.
Regardless of the duration of care - be it hospital discharge,
palliative care, or those with long term multiple and intense needs,
Rainbow Care can work alongside other agencies, with families and
individuals to bring the best care and support to the most challenging.
